Sales Policy
Reserve
A non-refundable deposit of half the purchase price is required to reserve the purchase of a goat. The other 50% of the purchase price is due upon the release of the animal to the buyer. Additionally, the receipt of the deposit represents your agreement with the terms and conditions described here and will prompt a scheduled date when your reserved animal can be picked up from our farm. Payment options include cash, Venmo, or PayPal.

Release
No animal will leave our farm until paid in full. The kid may remain on our farm for up to 8-12 weeks after kidding as a part of the natural dam-raising process. Release prior to 8 weeks old is not recommended to ensure the healthiest start to life for our baby goats. Please note that we do not train our kids to bottle feed. In the event that dam-raising becomes unavailable for the reserved kid, the buyer would contact the seller with the options of either picking up the kid prior to the 8-week weaning point or leaving the kid at our farm until the 8-week weaning point. In this event, bottle-feeding would be required until the kid is 8 weeks old. At 8 weeks old, kids should be eating feed, hay, and drinking water. If they are not, they may need a few more weeks with their dam to learn these behaviors.
If purchasing a weaned kid, yearling or adult goat, the animal will be released upon the completed transaction and may be picked up at the seller's and buyer's schedule convenience within 14 days of the deposit transaction.
Responsibility
The seller is responsible for the animal's care prior to the release of the animal to the buyer. The buyer becomes responsible for the animal once they take possession of the animal and leave our farm. Please read the "Goat Care" tab for general information about goats, and I encourage reading up on the care of goats so you are prepared to be successful in your goating journey. Additionally, we are available beyond the sell and pick up of our animals with questions or support. We do not claim to know all the answers, but we do value our customers as learning collaborators in the knowledge-seeking world of goat owners.
The buyer is responsible for the transport of the animal once the complete transaction has been confirmed.
Refund
All sales are final. Prior to the release of the animal to the seller's possession, a quick health assessment will be conducted by the seller and/or buyer that includes the evaluation of the animal's Famacha Score, body temperature, and overall condition to ensure the health of the animal is in order for safe transport. Because all animals vary in nature, there can be no guarantee of the goat's height/weight, show quality, kid production, mammary system, or overall appearance as it matures to adulthood.
In the case of a life-altering injury, illness, or death prior to the release of the animal from the buyer to the seller, a full refund may be granted.
